All photos on this gallery are of the Western Lake District. The vast majority are Eskdale, some are from our neighbouring valley Wasdale with Wastwater Lake, and there is just one from slightly further afield and this is St. Bees beach.
Wastwater was recently voted Britain’s favourite view in a recent ITV television programme. John Ruskin described Eskdale as ‘the gateway to paradise’ and the famous Lakeland author, Alfred Wainwright described Eskdale as ‘the finest of all valleys’ – it was his favourite valley for walking.
We would like to invite you to come and explore what we believe is the finest and most beautiful corner of England - the Lake District!
