“Great holiday. Recommend hiring the bikes and cycling along the river, the port of Auray, the beaches at Carnac and Quiberon and of course the galettes! Gorgeous view of the river when sitting outside by the BBQ.”

“The cottage and location is just spectacular, extremely picturesque and very comfortable and relaxing. I was very impressed with how well equipped the cottage was. Loved the attention to detail – new bathrooms and how everything was provided for us along with the very appreciated welcome hamper. Thank you for all the little extras, which for us, coming from America, meant so much. The grounds are gorgeous and everything is provided indoors and out, to barbecue areas, pool equipment, through to washing machine/driers and powder – you’ve thought of everything! Beautiful coastal drives and countryside – we just love Brittany and this has been an ideal base and we will recommend to all. Magnificent holiday.”

We stayed in Le Pressoir with its beautiful view of the river, along which we had a couple of lovely walks. We have never known such peace and quiet. The cottage has everything you could possibly need – a real home from home and is so well maintained. This has been the perfect rest for us.”

“We arrived to a very warm welcome by Jeanine. We found the activities close by wonderful. We hired bikes which were delivered and collected with friendly service. The activity park at Camors is to be recommended. The walks by the river are simply unique and a photographers paradise. We booked kayaking in advance at Lochrist – about a three hour adventure – wonderful! The Vallee Verte bar/restaurant is wonderful and just a short walk alongside the river. This region has so much to offer for all ages – so many places of interest to discover. We shall leave here with some very happy memories, It has been a wonderful holiday.”

“A really superb “chocolate box” cottage development. We were really taken aback at how beautiful the local walks were. Ideal area for pram walks with the towpath at the bottom of the garden. Far too much to explore – we only scraped the surface in one week. We were lucky to see quite a few kingfishers on a number of our walks too. Jeanine was always at hand to give us everything we needed including some new vocabulary!”

As you can see from these comments Jeanine our French caretaker is absolutely wonderful. She adores La Garenne and takes a lot of pride in everything she does, be it cleaning, tending the gardens... or by adding a real French (and sometimes Breton) flavour to La Garenne. She is "Fantastique"!
